Charging and backcharging
## Flat battery? Get moving again.
Every Coolabah charges off the truck as you drive. The Backcharger sends power the other way as well: at the push of a button it charges a flat truck battery from the Coolabah, so a faulty alternator or a long night on the accessories does not strand the truck.
1. ### Flat battery?
Switch the Backcharger on and it gets the truck going again in as little as 15 minutes.\*
2. ### Smarter operation
In normal DC-DC mode it reads how much charge the Coolabah battery needs and how much the truck's alternator can give, then adjusts its output to suit. A built-in timer switches the backcharge feature off once it has engaged, so there is nothing for the driver to remember.
3. ### Faster charge
It charges the Coolabah faster than the standard charger, so the battery is ready for the next night's sleep sooner.
### Three ways to charge
- #### 30A standard charger
The standard charger. A 24V lithium DC-DC charger that suits both 12V and 24V trucks, ingress protected and mounted outside the cab.
- #### Backcharger
A 12V and 24V lithium charger with reverse charging as well: at the push of a button it brings a flat truck battery back, whether the cause is a flat battery or a faulty alternator. A very popular option with large fleets.
- #### 240V inverter charger kit
Runs 240V appliances off the battery, such as a microwave, kettle, hot plate or induction cooktop, and charges the battery from mains power or a generator.
